Why learn to swim?
People have enjoyed the water as a source of recreation for centuries.
From swimming to boating, from pools to the ocean, we are all exposed to
situations that involve water at some point.  That is why being "water safe"
is so essential to parents and grandparents as well as children.  Being a
competent swimmer not only has safety benefits, but swimming is an excellent
form of exercise.  Plus, it's fun!!  There are countless activities to enjoy when
you are comfortable in the water.
