Summer Day Care

The Mon Valley YMCA Day Care Center is dedicated to provide a safe, caring and nurturing environment for children with working parents.

*The Mon Valley YMCA has been serving the Mid Mon Valley with summer day care since 1989.

*The center is a licensed day care for ages 37 months to ten (10) years of age.

*Open Monday through Friday, 7am to 6pm.

*We do accept financial assistance from C.C.I.S and the department of welfare.

*Children are divided by the Age/Grade that they have just completed and separated into four classrooms.

*Qualified staff providers plan a fun filled summer full of activities to keep your child busy throughout the day. These activities include:
-Swimming,
-Team Games,
-Hiking,
-Crafts,
-Reading Stories,
-Group Board Games,
-Checker Contests,
-Karaoke Sign Along,
-and Special Guest Speakers

Field trips are also a part of our summer care with an additional fee. The day are center has taken field trips to the Pittsburgh Zoo, Idlewild Park, Roller Skating and out for lunch. All field trips are supervised by day care staff providers and is open for parents to join in, transportation is provided by Hill Top Bus Line.
