Or three days a week for 4 years of age (by August 31).
Preschoolers have an opportunity to build their self
esteem while exploring their individual talents and interests. Program
focuses on intellectual development as well as social and physical needs.
Your child’s first learning experience will be a positive one.
Teaching the necessary reading readiness skills for
kindergarten success (numbers, shapes, colors, alphabet, etc.) is done
through music, stories, games and art. Manners and getting along with
others is stressed in every lesson.
In the 3 day a week program, science lessons are
offered once a month. Topics include subjects such as recycling, the
senses, where peanut butter comes from, weather and insects. Weekly
Readers are used each Friday to discuss “current events”
for preschoolers and to promote reading and listening skills. The program
includes phys ed, field trips, guest speakers and playground activities.
Computer usage is also included. This early introduction in computer
skills will promote eye-hand coordination, reading readiness and following
directions. Cooking is always a favorite activity for our young students.
Children make pudding, decorate cookies, make butter and even ice cream!
Our children learn to say “I’ll try” not “I
can’t”.
Staff includes teachers Janet Marshall and Denise Luckasevic
and aides Carolyn Spahr and Debbie Consavage.
Some classes are currently filled.
