Teddy,
Me & You
It's not too
early for your child to adjust to the classroom
setting. Bring your teddy to the class to meet Mrs. Stroh and friends.
Learn to follow one and two step directions, listen and answer questions,
communicate thoughts during circle time, snack time and play time.
Children must be 2½
by August 31
2 Day a Week Nursery School

Tuesday/ Thursday, 9:30 or 12:30
During
this 2 day a week program, youngsters are introduced to sharing, waiting in
line, manners and taking turns.
Children are introduced to letters and numbers and will learn colors, shapes,
nursery rhymes and songs.
Some time is spent on concept papers such as same/different and matching.
Special parties are planned for holidays with parent committees.
Children must be 3 by August 31
3 Day a Week Pre- Kindergarten Program
Mon/Wed/Fri, 9:30 or 12:30
Children are actively involved in the learning process and
develop a readiness for Kindergarten through a variety of hands-on,
fun filled
activities. Using The Letter People puppets and the "Let's Begin with the
Letter People" curriculum,
children learn oral language development, phonological and phonemic awareness skills, alphabetic knowledge and social
skills.
In addition, teachers will prepare students for reading readiness
through use of Weekly Readers and
incorporate weather and calendar activities
into each lesson. Daily play time, circle time, snack time and story time
are wonderful ways to develop sharing and turn-taking skills. This program
also offers a weekly gym class, field trips
and guest speakers, as well as a
weekly Speech/ Language classroom lesson.
The "Speech" classroom program is
designed to promote better listening, speaking and phonological
awareness skills
and is taught by Speech/Language clinician Linda Wiltz.
Children must be 4
yrs. of age by August 31st.
